For a 5 liter (1.3 Gallon) batch, You will need:

Malt & Specialty Grains
(Grains for Steeping)

45g (1.6 oz) 20L Caramel Malt
45g (1.6 oz) 60L Caramel Malt
5g (0.2 oz) Black Malt


700g (1.5 lbs) Dried Malt Extract


4g (0.15 oz) Chinook@ 40 minutes
5g (0.17 oz) Cascade @ 5 minutes
3g (0.1 oz) Cascade & 3g (0.1 oz) Chinook in the whirlpool


0.5 tsp Irish Moss @ 10 minutes


Half of a 11.5 g (6g / 0.2 oz) packet of S-04 English Ale Dry Yeast or similar English Ale yeast.

Technical Notes

OG (Original Gravity): 1.052
FG (Final Gravity): 1.014
ABV (Alcohol): 5%
IBUs (Bitterness Units): 34
